Privacy
This page explains what information may be processed when you use pathetic.gay.
Button statistics
The website maintains aggregate counters for button interactions.
These counters are used to display statistics such as interactions today, this month, and over time.
The application records a count for each UTC day and an all-time total. It does not store an individual record for each button interaction.
The main experience does not require an account, profile, name, email address, or other information to be submitted directly by the visitor.
Easter egg visits
The website maintains aggregate visit counts for Easter egg subdomains by subdomain and UTC date.
When an Easter egg subdomain is recorded for the first time, the application stores the subdomain, the discovery time, and a randomly generated technical identifier.
That identifier is generated by the application for the discovery event. It is not described as a hash of a visitor’s identity or personal information.
Technical information
Like most websites, hosting providers, reverse proxies, security services, and server software may process technical request information.
This may include an IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, response status, and diagnostic or security logs.
The exact information processed and retained may depend on the infrastructure configuration and service providers in use.
Cookies and browser storage
The inspected application code does not currently set its own advertising, authentication, or analytics cookies.
The website uses localStorage to remember a language selected by the visitor.
The main experience uses sessionStorage to remember the number of successful button interactions during the current browser session.
Easter egg pages use sessionStorage to remember whether a visit for a particular subdomain has already been recorded during that browser session, together with the returned visit count and any first-discovery identifier.
sessionStorage is intended for temporary per-tab session data and is normally cleared when the relevant browser tab or session ends, although exact behavior may vary by browser.
Apart from the selected language, the inspected application code does not currently use localStorage, authentication tokens, or third-party analytics identifiers.
Analytics and service providers
The inspected application code does not currently include a third-party product analytics, advertising, or user-profiling integration.
Hosting, networking, security, database, and other technical service providers may process request information as necessary to operate, protect, and maintain the website.
Why information is processed
Aggregate interaction data is processed to operate the counters and support the website experience.
Technical request information may be processed to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and operate the service.
Data retention
Aggregate interaction and Easter egg statistics may be retained while they remain useful to the website.
Technical logs may be retained for periods determined by operational, security, diagnostic, abuse-prevention, and infrastructure requirements.
Retention settings may differ between the application and its technical service providers.
Your choices
You may stop using the website at any time.
You may clear browser session data using your browser controls.
Because the main website does not create user accounts or profiles, there may be no account record available to access, correct, or delete.
You may contact us if you have a question or request concerning information associated with your use of the website.
